See SharingIn Action
In January 2019, as part of National Human Trafficking Awareness month, Anthem leaders on AFRJ’s Freedom Council coordinated internally to conduct outreach and training efforts to better equip Anthem associates to understand, identify, and report human trafficking.
The effort was a great success! See below for how they did it, and for ideas that might connect well with your team or company:
Emails and Articles
Via internal email campaigns and posted articles, Anthem shared company-wide why it was important to learn more about human trafficking and how to get started. Kickoff opportunities included an expert-led webinar and the Justice U Human Trafficking Awareness course.
Anthem executive leadership hosted a webinar that included Dr. Jordan Greenbaum, an expert in the nexus between healthcare and human trafficking. More than 800 attendees learned about human trafficking, how it presents itself in health care settings, and ways medical professionals can engage.
Awareness Challenge Raffle
As an additional incentive to learn more, Anthem announced through internal communications and the webinar that those who earned the Human Trafficking Awareness Badge through Justice U would be entered in a drawing for a series of $50 gift cards.
